Arun Kapur contributes deep expertise in education and talent development with his experience as the founder of the Druk Gyalpo's Institute (DGI) in Paro, Bhutan, and being the driving force behind the Bhutan Baccalaureate educational system. Over the years, Arun has played a pivotal role in establishing advanced training systems to upskill Bhutanese talent for leadership roles in public and private institutions in the City. Before founding DGI, Arun served 25 years in executive roles with the Vasant Valley School in New Delhi, transforming it into one of India's top educational institutions. He also served as Principal of The British School, New Delhi, and as Executive Director of Learn Today, where he spearheaded innovative educational initiatives. Throughout his four decades in education, Arun has consistently driven the creation of institutions that prioritise holistic learning and individual growth. In addition to his contributions to educational stewardship, Arun is the founder and chairman of Ritinjali, a trust focusing on improving the lives of underprivileged communities, and the founder of Pallavan, an education development program that emphasises diverse learning styles. Arun's decades-long dedication to education has been recognised internationally. He has received accolades such as the Druk Thuksey Award and the Royal Order of Bhutan. In December 2024 he was awarded the 'Bura Marp' (red scarf) and 'Patang' (ceremonial sword) by His Majesty The King of Bhutan, earning an honourific title rarely conferred on non-Bhutanese citizens. Arun holds a Master's degree in History from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and has completed various professional development programs globally.
